Biography

David J Callans is Associate Director of Electrophysiology at the University of Pennsylvania Health System as well as Professor of Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the Presbyterian Medical Center of Philadelphia. 

Dr Callans attended medical school at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed both his residency and fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. 

Dr Callans scientific contributions, which include nearly 200 original publications as well as an additional 100 major editorials, chapters, and reviews, have contributed to moving the field forward.  At HRS he has served in multiple committee roles including Chair of the Education Committee.
