John Baksi

Biography

Dr Baksi is a consultant cardiologist specialising in heart muscle disease (cardiomyopathy) and CMR.

Dr Baksi graduated from Imperial College London School of Medicine in 2000 achieving honours, having obtained a first-class intercalated BSc in 1997. He achieved membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2004 and subsequently undertook specialist training in cardiology on the North West London rotation between 2005 and 2013. After gaining a PhD with the cardiovascular physiology group at the International Centre for Circulatory Health (ICCH), Dr Baksi was selected for advanced imaging fellowships within North West London’s specialist centres.

His specialist areas of interest include heart muscle diseases such as dilated and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, cardiovascular MRI and cardiac genetics.
