Following a Faculty Steering Committee meeting last night, the Course Directors of the Structural Heart Disease Asia Pacific Symposium have made the difficult decision to postpone the event originally scheduled from the 2-4 April 2020, with the new dates confirmed for the 8-10 April 2021 at the Grand Millennium Hotel, Auckland, New Zealand.

Following the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19), travel restrictions are in place in a number of countries, which is directly affecting our Asia Pacific collaboration. Whilst government guidelines and the World Health Organisation have not currently recommended specific cancellations, we believe it is in the best interests of all our industry partners, attendees and colleagues to postpone the Symposium. We sincerely hope that you understand that this decision is being made in the interest of our international faculty, delegates and industry partners in the region, who would better benefit from postponement of the Symposium.

Delegate registrations will be refunded in full over the coming fortnight, and accommodation costs will be waived at the conference hotel if you made your booking via the Symposium Managers during your registration.

Finally, we wish to thank those who participate and support the SHD-AP Symposium and we greatly appreciate your patience and understanding. We look forward to welcoming you to Auckland in 2021, and we will be keeping you updated with plans as they progress. If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact our Symposium Managers.
