Overview

Rhythm Interventions Online (RIO) is a new innovative virtual event that brought together a leading international faculty to create a rich, interactive experience to best inform the global electrophysiology community of the latest developments and advances in clinical practice.

 

Led by Course Director, Prof Richard Schilling, Barts Heart Centre, London, and delivered through a crafted programme of discussion, opinion, and live cases from leading international centres, RIO's programme comprised twelve hours of best-in-class learning over three days, in addition to symposia and breakout sessions.

Christian Veltmann

Prof. Christian Veltmann is Head of Heart Rhythm Management in the Department of Cardiology and Angiology at the Hannover Medical School in Hannover, Germany. He has extensive experience in the implantation of pacemakers, ICDs, Cardiac Resynchronization Therapies (CRTs) and leadless pacemakers. Prof. Veltmann participates in the Micra™ Post-Approval Registry and serves as a trainer and proctor in the Micra™ program.

Josef Kautzner

Professor of Medicine

Josef Kautzner is a Professor of Medicine at Charles University Medical School I in Prague, Czech Republic. A specialist in cardiology and electrophysiology, he is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology  and a member of the Heart Rhythm Society (HRS) and the European Heart Rhythm Association. He is also Chairman of the Working Group on Arrhythmias and Cardiac Pacing of the Czech Society of Cardiology. His clinical and research interests include prevention of sudden cardiac death, catheter ablation of different arrhythmia substrates and cardiac resynchronisation therapy.
